Description
The KY-PS series electro-optic polarization modulators are capable of generating linearly polarized light. Fabricated using the titanium diffusion process, these devices support simultaneous transmission of both TE and TM polarization modes. The input and output fiber slow axes are coupled at a 45°angle relative to the waveguide's optical axis. When linearly polarized light is launched into the waveguide along the input fiber's slow axis, it splits into TE and TM polarization modes. By varying the voltage applied to the waveguide, the phase difference between these two polarization modes can be precisely adjusted, thereby enabling controlled modification of the output fiber's polarization state. This product is mainly used for quantum information systems, high speed precision measurement instrumentation, and fiber-optic polarization scrambling devices.
